New judge to lead inquiry into Stuart Hall’s BBC conduct

Retired High Court Judge Dame Linda Dobbs will lead the investigation into how disgraced TV star Stuart Hall was able to abuse his victims while working for the BBC.
She was appointed after Dame Janet Smith, who is leading the inquiry into Jimmy Savile’s activities, said she would not be able to oversee the investigation because of a potential conflict of interest as she knows a member of BBC management.
The former It’s A Knockout host admitted indecently assaulting 13 girls during the sixties, seventies and eighties, including one aged nine.
