Sporting life was the focus of Angus Archives’ drop-in day on Thursday.
On display were photographs of teams and individuals involved in sports including football, rugby, golf, cricket, cycling and tennis.
Other items on display at Restenneth include a Brechin Cricket Club scorebook from 1850-1914, while one of the archives’ most recent deposits is the first minute book of the Montrose Royal Albert Golf Course, dated 1818.
Archivist Craig Pearson said that with the Women’s Open at Carnoustie and the recent Open, there would be a lot of interest in a sport display.
Many people use the archives to investigate family history and individuals can access stored documents on request, but the archive also mounts specific displays.
Mr Pearson said neither the minute book nor scorebook are of monetary value their value is in the information they hold.
