TWO LATVIANS have been banned from coming north of the Tay in a bail condition imposed over an Angus diesel thefts court case.
Arvis Buivids (24), from Pinebank, Livingston, appeared from custody at Forfar Sheriff Court yesterday where he admitted four charges of stealing fuel from vehicles at the AM Phillips depot, Muiryfaulds, near Forfar, on December 12.
Also in the dock was co-accused, Janice Millers (37), of the same address, who denied the same charges.
Buivids had his sentence deferred until February 21, when his co-accused will also appear for an intermediate trial diet following his not guilty plea.
Both men were given bail until their next appearance, with a special condition imposed by Sheriff Veal banning them from north of the Tay and preventing them from entering Dundee or Angus other than in connection with the court case.
