An Angus dad ran amok and assaulted his wife and two grown-up children, a court has heard.
Gordon John McKay, 43, picked up furniture and threw things around after coming home drunk from a work night out.
McKay then assaulted his alarmed wife, son and daughter as they tried to get him to stop during Saturday’s incident.
Appearing from custody at Arbroath on Monday, McKay, whose bail address was given as Commerce Street, Insch, Aberdeenshire, admitted all four charges.
The court heard McKay came home drunk from the night out and began shouting, swearing and throwing items around the living-room.
He kicked a television from its stand, threw a laptop to the ground and kicked a door. He continued shouting and swearing, kicked over items of furniture and threw a TV across the room.
McKay also assaulted his wife and his two grown-up children who are aged 19 and 21. Sentence was deferred until April 29. He was granted bail.
