A fire at a derelict cottage in Angus is being treated as “suspicious”.
Local fire crew and police attended in Brechin this morning, after an empty Castle Street property was found on fire for the second time in three years.
Three jets were used to extinguish the flames at Rosebank Cottage, which was doused by 1pm.
The house has been unoccupied since 2010, when its owners were subject of a lucky escape.
An early morning bedroom fire on January 31 of that year saw four fire crews take almost three hours to bring the blaze under control.
A Tayside Police spokeswoman said: “The Castle Street fire today is being treated as suspicious, and we are pursuing a positive line of inquiry.”
