Work has begun to demolish a “blight” on Kirriemuir’s landscape.
Council leader Iain Gaul and other elected members met representatives from contracted firm Central Demolition to view demolition work on the three unoccupied blocks of council flats in the town’s Marywell Gardens.
The flats will be destroyed to make way for the construction of five council houses.
The works will comprise the demolition of the three blocks of flats, including excavating substructures and foundations.
Demolition and building work is expected to be completed in September this year.
