NHS Tayside proposes new dental centre for Arbroath

Angus could see a four-part dental centre built to replace “inadequate” premises.
NHS Tayside has submitted plans for a new centre at Arbroath Infirmary, which would include four surgeries.
The centre is proposed for unused land on the corner of Viewfield Road and Roseberry Place.
The plans have been submitted to Angus Council for the 260 square metre site that will also offer facilities for training.
A design statement submitted to council officers states: “The new facility will create modern new facilities for an independent NHS-committed general dental practitioner who currently operates from inadequate premises within the Arbroath area and will also provide facilities for the delivery of NHS dental services and for vocational training. Scope for future expansion is also to be factored into the new development.”
The plans have been put forward through Hub East Central Scotland, which is a partnership designed to help deliver community facilities including libraries and social housing.
