Catherine Welsh, who was 43 and from Woodside in Aberdeen, died when her Ford Ka collided with a stationary lorry shortly after 5am. A police spokesman said: “Mrs Welsh’s family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that she will be greatly missed. “They do not wish to make any further comments and have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.” Police are still investigating the crash and have asked any witnesses to phone 101. As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
