A man has admitted threatening to throw his excrement at police on the way to Dundee headquarters after a string of assaults in a Ninewells Hospital incident.
Dale Smith appeared from custody before Sheriff Pino Di Emidio at Forfar where he admitted six charges relating to the offences on December 16.
Smith, 21, of Bridge Street, Brechin, admitted being found in the curtilage of a property in Montrose without lawful authority on that day, and on the same date at Ninewells Hospital assaulting a police constable by spitting at him, a female police sergeant by attempting to bite her finger, a police sergeant by attempting to bite him and another man by attempting to bite him.
He also pleaded guilty to a charge that on various roads between Ninewells and Dundee police headquarters he behaved in a threatening manner, defecated in a police vehicle, smeared faeces on the inside of the police vehicle and threatened to throw faeces at police officers.
Defence solicitor Nick Markowski said Smith’s previous record largely related to offences in England.
Sentence was deferred until February 11 for a criminal justice report.
