A charity dinner hosted by Dundee United footballer Jordan Moore in aid of cancer research has raised £40,000.
The 20-year-old striker was given the all-clear at Christmas after battling skin cancer and has been involved in raising awareness of the disease.
He was joined by his parents and team-mates at Saturday night’s event at the Apex Hotel in Dundee, with other guests among the 350-strong crowd including famous Dundee United fans Lorraine Kelly and Deacon Blue singer Ricky Ross.
Among the donations made on the night was a £5,000 cheque from Dundee United, with a raffle raising £3,000.

Jordan was unavailable for comment but tweeted: “Privileged to know so many great people! Truly special people in my family and @dundeeunitedfc #40k”
Tributes also poured in from fellow professionals from across the football world.
Jordan had surgery to remove melanoma skin cancer a little more than a year ago.
Very very difficult to decide who was the most handsome chap last night. I reckon it was a draw between @BusyDillo and @jordanmoore44 #GMM

He had feared the diagnosis and subsequent treatment would threaten his career but he has continued to train, and made a scoring return to the team last July.
