Man detained after drugs raid on Kingsway East flat

Police swooped on a flat in Dundee’s Kingsway East in a drugs raid.

Shocked neighbours said a number of officers descended on the first-floor tenement shortly after 10am on Tuesday.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland’s Tayside Division said: “A 30-year-old man has been detained after what is understood to be cannabis plants found at an address in Kingsway East today and enquiries are continuing.”

Officers remained at the scene until shortly after 1.30pm.
