Comedian, writer filmmaker, actor, broadcaster and native Dundonian Danny Wallace will discuss his career and latest novel when he picks up his honorary degree from Dundee University on Wednesday.
The Dundee-born best-selling author will be discussing his work and achievements across print, television and radio.
Danny said: “I’m massively delighted to be getting an honorary degree because the university has been such a big part of my life since I was a kid and I’m incredibly proud to be from Dundee.”
The conversation with Mike Sterling, editor-in-chief of the Beano, is at the Dalhousie Building from 6pm and will be followed by an honorary graduation at Dundee University the following day.
“If you’d told seven-year-old me that one day I’d be sharing the stage with the editor of the Beano then I think I would have exploded,” Danny added.
The director of event organisers Literary Dundee, Anna Day, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Danny Wallace home to Dundee.
“He is a phenomenally gifted person and has achieved a great deal in a wide variety of roles during his relatively short career.”
