Broughty Ferry bus shelter destroyed by tourist coach
ByThe Courier Reporter
A tourist bus destroyed a Broughty Ferry bus stop after the driver misjudged a turn.
Police rushed to the eastbound side of Queen Street, near the Occidental pub, after the bus practically demolished the bus stop.
An eyewitness said the tourist coach was attempting to turn in the busy street, shortly before 1pm, but the rear of the vehicle became caught on the stop and tore it down.
No one on the bus was injured, but an elderly pedestrian is believed to have suffered a minor injury to his foot.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We were called to Queen Street in Broughty Ferry at 1pm after reports of a bus colliding with a bus stop.
“Officers are making inquiries into the incident.”
