The mother of an 11-year-old Dundee girl with a learning disability has issued a desperate plea for information to help her find the missing family pet who helps care for her daughter.
Paula Roddy, suffers from Global Developmental Delay, meaning she has issues with speech and has the mental age of between 18 months and three years,
Four-year-old Border Collie, Roxy, regularly checks up on Kingspark School pupil, Paula, and ensures to watch over her when she is climbing up and down stairs.
Roxy was last seen in the Claverhouse area of Dundee, but there have been no positive sighting since.
Pauline explained: “It’s getting colder and the roads are getting busier, so we really need to find her.
“The community spirit has just been crazy, everyone has been keeping their eye out for Roxy.
“The whole city of Dundee has come together.
“Roxy is my extra pair of eyes in the house and will run up the stairs to check on Paula if there is a loud bang.
“This is much more than just trying to bring a dog home.”
