Motorists will face disruption on a major Tayside road due to roadworks to upgrade the surface next week.
A section of the southbound A90 to the north of Dundee at Powrie Brae is to benefit from £119,000 resurfacing improvements.
This section of the A90 is used by around 26,000 vehicles every day and is said to require upgrading.
The investment from Transport Scotland will address any defects in the road surface, creating a smoother and safer journey for motorists.
The resurfacing will begin on Tuesday, at 7.30pm, and is expected to take place over two nights.
The works will be completed by 6.30am on Thursday.
For the safety of the workforce and motorists, a convoy system of traffic management will be used overnight during the works.
The convoy will be removed outside of working hours, however a temporary speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be running on a temporary surface.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north east unit representative, said: “These works will repair a number of cracks, potholes and other surfacing issues which will improve the general condition and safety of the A90 at this section for motorists.”
