A 66-year-old woman sustained a head injury after she was involved in a collision with a car in the city’s Princes Street.
She was treated at the scene by a doctor who was passing the scene of the Tuesday incident, before she was transferred to Ninewells Hospital.
The woman received seven stitches to the back of her head and was kept in hospital overnight for observation.
Due to the nature of her injury, which she received at around 3.40pm, police blocked the road just south of the Arbroath Road traffic lights until paramedics deemed it safe to move her.
Traffic was disrupted for about half an hour, with the road reopened at 4.15pm.
