Police are hunting vandals who sprayed graffiti in a Dundee park and on West End streets.
Extensive markings were found in an area of Victoria Park and in neighbouring Scott Street and Logie Avenue over the weekend.
A substantial part of the graffiti was found on the shed beside the children’s playpark in the park, as well as on some nearby trees.
Soon after a large, horse shoe-shaped piece of graffiti was discovered on a wall at Logie Avenue, and further paint was found on the steps between Scott Street and Pentland Avenue.
Police are treating the incidents as linked and are continuing investigations into the vandalism. The council’s Rapid Response Team has been informed to clear up the mess.
West End councillor Vari McDonald said: “I am aware that a similar incident occurred not so long ago, and I am disappointed to see that it has happened again on a much bigger scale.”
A spokesman for Tayside Police said: “Graffiti was found on a shed beside the playpark and there was a linked incident at Logie Avenue and on the steps at Scott Street.
“Patrols in the area are keeping an eye on the situation.”
Anyone with information should contact Tayside Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
