Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a popular Kirkcaldy man who died in a car crash at the weekend.

Adam Vallot (21) was killed when his Honda Civic was in collision with a Land Rover Freelander on the B925 Kirkcaldy to Auchtertool road at around 9.10pm on Sunday.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Adam known as Addy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Born and brought up in Kirkcaldy, Adam, who attended Balwearie High School, recently qualified as an electrician with Scottish Hydro and was very popular with his workmates. A keen Raith Rovers fan, he loved football and was a season ticket holder at Stark’s Park, also following the fortunes of Liverpool FC.

He also liked dance and house music and loved socialising, often organising trips to the likes of Ibiza and Newcastle in search of a good time. After Sunday’s tragic events, his devastated family have spoken of their loss and paid their own personal and poignant tribute to their loved one.

“Adam was a true gentleman in every way and achieved so much in a short time,” they said. “He lived life to the full with his large group of close-knit friends, invading Ibiza, Creamfields and Newcastle on occasions.

“He was an enthusiastic football supporter, a Raith Rovers season ticket holder with a passion for Liverpool FC. We are all so proud of you Adam and will miss you forever.”MessagesFloral tributes and other items including Raith and Liverpool shirts have been placed at the scene of the accident, demonstrating how highly Adam was thought of by his family and friends. Dozens of messages have also been placed on Adam’s Facebook page.

“A great friend, kind, funny, terrible choice of football team but the person I could trust with anything,” one said. “Would do anything to help and I am eternally grateful for that, I always remember the good times we had and it was a privilege to have known you.”

Another described Adam as being a “legend in the heart of millions,” while another echoed the sentiments of many whose thoughts are with Adam’s family.

“There are no words that can really help at a time like this, but just want to say that I am privileged to know such a great guy,” it read. “Thinking of you and your family xxx.”

Another close friend added, “Could travel the world many times over and never meet a more rounded person. Thoughts with your family, rest in peace.”

Police are continuing their investigations into the tragic accident.
