A shop owner has raised funds to sponsor a whole day at Maggie’s Fife in memory of her late mother.
Maggie Macdonald, owner of Style Conscience, which sells good quality pre-owned clothing in Markinch, undertook a year of fundraising, making more than £3,000.
She is sponsoring a day at Maggie’s Fife in honour of her mother, who died 21 years ago.
Maggie said: “She was an amazing woman and my biggest role model. When faced with a diagnosis of terminal cancer with only months to live she simply said ‘I’ve had my three score years and 10 everything else has been a bonus’.
“Maggie’s would have been a real support to me as I found it very difficult to accept losing her and ended up having a few counselling sessions to help me deal with her death.”
