A man who was found dead in a flat in Dysart last week has been named as Robert Ednie. It is understood the 51-year-old, who worked in a call centre and was one of triplets, lived alone at the ground floor property. Mr Ednie’s body was discovered by firefighters who had been called to investigate a smell of smoke in the block in Quality Street. Fire crews battered down the door of the flat in the early hours of Friday and tackled what was described as a small fire in the bedroom. It is not known if Mr Ednie’s death was connected to the fire. Fife Constabulary said initial inquiries suggested the death was not suspicious. They have appealed for witnesses to contact police on 101.
