Detectives are investigating the incident, at a block of flats in Rannoch Road on Tuesday night. The man was in the stairwell when he was approached by two men who spoke to him before repeatedly punching him in the face and then stabbing him. He was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, and allowed away after treatment. One of the men is described as being around, 6ft 1in to 6ft 2in and of thin build, with dark skin. He was unshaven. He was wearing a dark top with the hood up, and dark bottoms. The second man is believed to be 5ft 5in to 5ft 11in, and he was wearing a white top with blue stripes on the sleeves and chest, and dark trousers. The men ran off across Marlee Road towards the rear of the Rannoch Road shops after the incident.
