The Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery in Crieff is toasting being shortlisted for two awards.
Scotland’s oldest distillery will battle it out against some of Scotland’s other top distilleries at the Whisky Magazine’s Icons of Whisky Awards.
The distillery secured a nomination for Whisky Visitor Attraction and general manager Stuart Cassells is up for Whisky Visitor Attraction Manager.
Members of the public can vote by visiting www.iconsofwhisky.com and the distillery is hoping that its tens of thousands of annual visitors will get behind the nominations. Voting closes on October 22.
Lesley Williamson, business development manager at the Famous Grouse Experience, said: “It is great news to be shortlisted for these two Icons of Whisky awards so quickly after finding out we’d received a commendation for Best In-House Event at the Scottish Event Awards earlier this week.
“We know we have a world-class venue that is enjoyed by so many people every year and everyone here at the Famous Grouse Experience is delighted that our visitor attraction is being recognised. We are also thrilled for Stuart being nominated and will have our fingers crossed for a winning result.”
The distillery was recently refurbished and was officially opened at the end of May by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
