Thieves use tractor in attempt to steal cash machine from Kinross supermarket

Thieves used a tractor to try and rip a cash machine out of a Kinross supermarket wall in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The would-be robbers struck around 3.30am at the Sainsbury’s on Station Road as they attempted to ram raid the cash machine using the farm machinery.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that they are currently dealing with an ongoing incident at Sainsbury’s, Station Road, Kinross where at about 3.30am Saturday October 17 an attempted raid on an ATM cash machine involving a tractor occurred.
“Enquiries are at an early stage however if any members of the public have any information or witnessed any suspicious activity in the Kinross area then please contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak with any Police Officer.”
