Curfew for man who waved his genitals at T in the Park security staff

A council worker who waggled his genitals at security staff and attacked a chart-topping band’s escort has been banned from going out over Christmas and New Year.

Craig Smith dropped his trousers to taunt stewards at T in the Park before attacking a member of The Prodigy’s security team.

Security supervisor Oleg Litvineko, 26, was spat on and racially abused after escorting the band onto the Radio One stage.

Smith was placed on a curfew for four months, which prevents him going out between 7pm and 6am every night. He was also placed under social work supervision for a year.

Smith was found guilty of assaulting Mr Litvineko, and also of shouting racist remarks and acting in a threatening and abusive manner.

The victim told Perth Sheriff Court that he felt Smith, 24, was under the influence of something and was acting in a “psychotic” way as he subjected the security officer to the attack.

Mr Litvineko said security staff initially went to intervene when Smith was spotted risking his own safety by hanging on to the top of a 3m fence near the backstage area.

He told the court a female security officer arrived first to try to persuade Smith to climb back down but he responded by “provocatively” dropping his trousers and boxer shorts.

Mr Litvineko, from Latvia, said Smith also subjected him to a tirade of racist abuse calling him a “Polish b******”.

Smith, of Bellsburn Avenue, Linlithgow, assaulted Mr Litvineko by spitting in his face at T in the Park at Strathallan Estate on July 12 this year.
