Radio station Heartland FM has recruited its youngest DJ.
Perth-born 16-year-old Stuart McCully will present a new 6pm music show on the Perthshire station.
Stuart started with the station as a school intern and discovered he loved being behind the microphone and had a natural talent for the technical aspects of radio production.
He said: “I’d like to work in media and this is a big step towards a career in the industry. I can’t see myself doing anything other than broadcasting in the future.”
Station manager, Bruce Patterson, said: “It isn’t often a presenter of 16 has the opportunity to prepare and present a live radio show but we are fully confident in Stuart.
“He has endless energy and masses of creative talent. It’s crucial Heartland FM encourages young, upcoming talent.”
