A WARNING has been issued to anyone who may have bought or received a hairstyling bargain.
Three pairs of new GHD-branded hair straighteners were stolen during a smash-and-grab at a Perth salon.
The break-in happened at Headline, on Hospital Street, with the thief taking the Metallic edition stylers which come in red, gold and silver from a window display.
Owner Barbara Doris said that, because the straighteners were only released a few weeks ago in time for Christmas, it was unlikely anyone would be selling them used or second-hand.
“They cost £135 new, so anyone who has been offered a pair for less than that should be wary,” she said.
“A legitimate set will come in a special presentation box with a roll bag.
“The ones that were taken from our premises, however, were missing the lid from the boxes and we also lost the roll bag for one pair.”
She advised anyone with any doubts over their new hair straighteners to have them checked out byTayside Police.
Anyone with information on the break-in, which happened at around 1.30am on December 12, should call the police on 0300 111 2222.
