A DUNDEE child care worker who was employed in Perth has been suspended by the social work regulatory body for a further six months.
The Scottish Social Services Council has ordered Alison Gass, a residential child care worker, not to work in a post that requires SSSC accreditation until at least May 29 next year.
The extension of her suspension is to allow further investigations into her case of alleged misconduct.
The SSSC imposed the first six-month suspension in May but stressed that the case should not be prejudged.
The regulatory body would not disclose details of her alleged misconduct, but said her suspension is a precautionary measure to allow further investigation and should not be seen as prejudicial.
Mrs Gass, who has declined to comment on her situation, is described as a residential child care worker with supervisory responsibilities, and her town of employment is Perth.
