Jim Murphy takes a selfie as he visits Kirkland High School in Leven with general election candidate Melanie Ward and Iain Gray.
University students will not see fees reintroduced if Labour regains power at Holyrood, Jim Murphy will say today.
The Scottish Labour leader will meet students in Glasgow to confirm the party’s policy little more than two years after his predecessor Johann Lamont said free tuition was “not sustainable”.
Mr Murphy added that free tuition is one part of his plan to give working class children the best start in life, highlighting the party’s £125 million fund to close the attainment gap.
He said: “Under Scottish Labour there will be no university fees in Scotland.”
