Commonwealth Games gold medallist Steve Frew visited Perth Grammar School this week to offer youngsters an insight into what it takes to become a top athlete.
After 20 years of dedication and despite little or no funding he picked up Scotland’s first ever Commonwealth gymnastics gold medal at the 2002 games in Manchester.
That drive was demonstrated to pupils at a special PE session as he led them through a series of gymnastics disciplines and passed on some of his experiences.
Steve was representing the Sky Sports Living for Sport programme, a free initiative that uses sport to motivate and inspire 11- to 16-year-olds.
