Coming up in Saturday’s Courier football fever, skeletal remains and Easter treats

Back of the net.

This weekend sees not one, not two, but three massive Scottish Cup semi-finals (okay, I’ve overstated it. There are two). Dundee United take on Rangers and St Johnstone face Aberdeen. It is almost intolerably exciting and, indeed, said excitement has reached and in some quarters exceeded fever pitch.

In Saturday’s Courier we speak to the man travelling to Ibrox from Budapest to support the Perth side, while there is also news of the Tangerine who is so confident he has staked £1000 on a winning margin of a least two goals (in favour of United, for the avoidance of doubt).

In other news, barely less exciting, we have details of the student who has dramatically turned the tables on the parking meanies. Hit by a unwarranted fine she successfully appealed and is now charging the parking company for her time in so doing. It’s a bold, not to mention somewhat remarkable and brazen, bid.

Readers of Saturday’s magnum opus will doubtless enjoy their encounter with the 12 year-old chap who has released his first book. All about animal bones. The little fellow is positively obsessed by skeletal remains. It is our honour and privilege to put the meat on the bones of this really rather intriguing tale.

If you are a bear you will love our weekend edition. I realise a significant number of readers will not fall into this category. Nevertheless, if I tell you we have a tale about bears stalking about looking for Easter treats I feel sure it will persuade many homo sapiens you that the paper falls, quite squarely, into the unmissable category.

For more on every one of these sensational stories please do be sure to snap up your own personal copy of Saturday’s Courier. Failing that, why not try our digital edition? Eh? Well?
