Coming up in Friday’s Courier insulting behaviour

Guessing someone else’s age.

It’s akin to walking through a minefield barefoot.

By which I mean, it is a fairly risky business.

It also has the potential to be rather amusing. Thankfully some breakthrough boffinry gave us the perfect opportunity to send a reporter out on the road to see if people could guess her age.

Said boffinry suggested older people are better at estimating age because they spend more time thinking about getting old.

Interesting stuff.

Did the theory work? And did any of those people asked by our reporter escape without a black eye? Find out in Friday’s fearless Courier.

Still on the ageing process and could you pass a driving theory test? Apparently lots of more “mature” drivers couldn’t.

Once again, there was only one way to get to the truth ask (ie humiliate) some of our own staff. Find out if they passed with flying colours, or crashed and burned…

Returning, once more, to matters regarding those of somewhat more advanced years and it was, on Thursday, our absolute pleasure to meet a very special centenarian.

It will therefore, on Friday, be your absolute pleasure to meet a very special centenarian.

Minder to top Russian astronaut Yuri Gagarin, he later worked on Winston Churchill’s security detail.

The amazing fella also survived a stint as a bomber pilot in the second world war.

And how did he celebrate his glorious century?

Why by treating himself to a new car of course.

Absolutely wonderful stuff.

Meanwhile, it’s out with the old and in with the new.

Alex Salmond took First Minister’s Questions for the last time. We look back and also dedicate no fewer than two prime pages to an EXCLUSIVE interview with the woman about to replace him, Nicola Sturgeon.

Please don’t miss it.

Corking stuff awaits our readers. Be sure to pick up Friday’s Courier. Failing that, why not try our digital edition?
