Reflecting on the first quarter of the campaign just completed, the Stark’s Park manager believes the 10 teams are evenly matched. Now he’s targeting a second-quarter surge to take the Kirkcaldy men out of the pack and to the top of the table. McGlynn said: ”We’re quite well placed just now, but most teams will be thinking along those lines. ”We’ve played everybody once, and there’s not a lot to fear. I feel that we’ve got as good players here as anyone. ”Obviously we would struggle if we were badly hit by injuries, illness and suspension, but we’re not alone in that regard. ”There are a lot of teams of a similar standard and there will be a big benefit for anybody who can put a run together. Hopefully that will be us.” Iain Davidson is still being bothered by a groin strain but McGlynn is hopes he’ll have returned to training by the end of the week.
