Paul Sheerin could not hide his delight at the weekend after his on-fire Arbroath side cruised to a 4-0 away victory against Berwick.
The deadlock was not broken until 67 minutes, when Gavin Swankie took advantage of a defensive mistake by Andy McLean to put the Red Lichties ahead.
In just 11 minutes, the Angus club found themselves three ahead when another strike from Swankie plus one from Ross Chisholm made it three.
The humiliation was completed just three minutes from time, when Keith Gibson added his name to the score sheet to ensure Berwick crumbled to their first home league defeat of the season.
Sheerin said, “We have now scored nine goals in two away games and that puts us right back in at the top.
“We have a great bunch of players who are working hard and we are starting to reap the rewards.”
