Raith Rovers swoop for former Livingston star Liam Fox

Raith Rovers boss Grant Murray has continued building his squad for next season with the signing of Liam Fox.

The former Livingston player has put pen to paper on a one-year deal and will find himself alongside another new face in the Stark’s Park dressing-room when pre-season starts in the shape of Kevin Moon, who was snapped up last week.

The capture of the two midfielders must cast further doubt over whether Raith skipper Allan Walker who earlier revealed to Courier Sport that he had not been offered a contract extension will be playing with the Fife side next season.

Meanwhile, Murray has also persuaded defender Dougie Hill to agree a new 12-month contract.

* Dave Wann is to continue as supporters director for Raith Rovers.

He was elected with almost two-thirds of the votes from Rovers fans and will now continue in the role he has held for the last two and a half years.

Wann, who was up against Allan Traynor for the post, said: “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to continue. We look forward to preparing for the new season”

Allan Russell, chair of Raith Supporters Trust, said “It is important we all work together to ensure that fans continue to have a voice at Starks Park and Raith Rovers has a strong future as a community club living within its means.”
