Police are investigating a Dundee graffiti attack that was captured on camera.

Security camera footage caught the tagger striking at Forget Me Not florists in the city’s Strathmartine Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Owner Dawn Falconer posted on Facebook: “Can everyone please like and share to see if we can find out who this is.

“Came to the shop this morning and the shop has been covered in graffiti and some other shop as well.

“Police are now involved.”

She also branded the vandal a “sad individual” as she posted a series of pictures of the damage caused.

It later emerged the same tags had also been scrawled on nearby cars.

Shirley Sparks said: “Hope they catch the boy because they show no respect for others when they are spray painting cars and shops.

“Same boy did my husbands car too. I got the paint off though before I knew about this.”

Scott Singers said: “Someone will recognise his work shouldn’t take long to get them.”

Margo Mann added: “Hate graffiti ‘artists’, no respect for anyone.”

Others suggested the florist get a professional graffiti artist to cover up the tag with some artwork.

Behrnice Marnie added: “The little shop in linlathen had graffiti all over it and he asked them to paint graffiti in a nice way and they did.”

Forget Me Not was crowned Wedding Florist Of The Year 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow.

The business has a team of florists who between them have over 40 years of experience.

Open six days a week, Forget Me Not delivers all across Dundee and the surrounding area.
