Captain Kyle Haines provided the killer touch for Fife Flyers who came from behind to snatch a 5-3 Elite League victory at rivals Dundee.
The defenceman struck short-handed when Tom Muir had been penalised for a check to the head and handed a misconduct penalty.
The former East Coast Hockey League star then saw winger Scott Fleming end any Dundee hopes with an empty net goal inside the final minute.
Earlier, it was Fife who caught Stars cold after only 53 seconds when Matt Reber netted.
Igor Gongalsky levelled less than three minutes later but Fife’s associate player/coach Danny Stewart fired Fife ahead for a second time with 38 minutes on the clock.
Dundee were not to be denied and left-wing Rob Ricci netted twice in three third-period minutes, both on the power play, to put the home side ahead.
He counted after 42 minutes and scored again in the 46th, with skipper Chris Blight and Kevin Quick assisting, but Chris Auger equalised seven minutes later to set up a nerve-jangling finish.
Haines supplied the finishing touch less than three minutes from time, the defenceman firing home the game-winner to stun home fans.
Fleming supplied the insurance four seconds from the final whistle to leave Dundee at the bottom of the table.
Fife halted their two-game losing streak and move on to eight points from 10 starts.
On Saturday, Stars were beaten 5-1 at Nottingham Panthers with David Clark claiming a double.
