The production services arm of Aberdeen-based Wood Group has won its seventh major contract extension of the year after retain a deal to work with operator Dana Petroleum.
Wood Group PSN has secured a new two-year agreement, with an additional 12-month option, to provide integrated support services to the Triton floating production, storage and offloading vessel in the North Sea.
Around 150 jobs in Aberdeen and Glasgow will be secured by the operations, maintenance, engineering and construction contract, which is estimated to be worth up to $60 million per year.
Wood said the deal marked more than 14 years of continuous service as prime contractor for Triton. The extension follows a string of similar deals deal chalked up by the group this year.
Dave Stewart, managing director for WGPSN in the UK, said: “Dana Petroleum is a dynamic new operator, and securing this piece of work positions us well to support Dana Petroleum as it continues to grow its business in the UK.”
Dana operations manager Richard Lyon said the deal enhanced his firm’s commitment to operations on the UK Continental Shelf.
