There are plans in place for a 10,000 capacity arena at Dundee Waterfront – here are all the pictures. The proposal is to use the current Mecca Bingo building on Nethergate and also site 2 of the Dundee Waterfront project. As well as the two-tier arena, the plans include bars, restaurants and a 70-bedroom hotel. It could take £70 million to build – if it gets the green light by Dundee City Council. The ground floor area can be reconfigured in several different ways, including no seating at all for concerts. Snooker tournaments could be an option. Or how about some boxing?
