SPONSORED: Hear about the future of Abertay University at public engagement session

Join Abertay’s new Chancellor Professor Alice Brown at a free engagement session on Wednesday 5 February to launch the University’s Strategic Plan 2020-2025.

Setting out an ambitious vision for Abertay’s future over the next five years, members of the public are welcome to attend this relaxed and informal event, offering a chance to learn about the University’s key priorities for development.

With a strong focus on providing ‘transformational opportunities’ and contributing to social mobility, the values that have shaped Abertay and its predecessor institutions since 1888 remain at the core of this new plan, along with a new priority on Digital Strategy.

Running from 12noon to 1.30pm in the Kydd Building Events Space, with free refreshments, this presentation will be introduced by Prof Brown and led by Principal Nigel Seaton and Chair of Court Murray Shaw.

Running order for the day includes:

  • 12noon: Arrival and refreshments
  • 12.30pm: Presentations and Q&A
  • 1.30pm: Event ends

Professor Seaton said: “Compared with our last Strategic Plan, covering the years 2015-2020, there are points of both continuity and change.

“We remain focused on our students, and strongly rooted in Dundee and the wider Tayside region. We remain committed to teaching a broad range of subjects and to using our research and our specialist expertise to support the development of industry and commerce.

“We are proud of what we have achieved as a University, and we are going forward with confidence towards the opportunities and challenges ahead.”
