The second phase of the £435,000 road improvements on Kingsway East has started.
Works began on October 31 to replace drainage kerbs along Forfar Road on each side of the eastbound carriageway.
The improvement programme has now moved onto the next phase, with the first of the resurfacing works taking place on the A972.
Overnight road closures started on Sunday night and are in place on the A972 Forfar Road to allow teams to work safely.
Closures will begin at 7.30pm and last until 6.30am for seven nights.
The closure point will also include Pitkerro roundabout so teams can install new drainage kerbs ahead of resurfacing later in the week.
When work is completed on Forfar Road, resurfacing will start at Pitkerro Roundabout with two overnight closures on Sunday and Monday November 20 and 21, with works moving to Milton of Craigie for four nights afterwards.
Diversion routes will be in place at all locations and signed in advance to advise motorists.
