The 32-strong choir of the St Andrews Renaissance Singers will perform a selection of seasonal music from the Middle Ages to the present day when they arrive at the Museum of the University of St Andrews (MUSA) on Saturday December 10.
The well-established town/gown auditioned choir will bring a festive slant to its renowned repertoire of English and European Renaissance music.
The choir, which last year celebrated its 60th anniversary, was formerly known as the Renaissance Group and was founded by Spanish Professor Douglas Gifford.
The Renaissance Group has toured regularly in Europe, recently in 2007 and 2009 to Provence and Normandy.
The choir has now become part of the university Music Centre and is directed by professional musician Cole Bendall.
Over the last couple of years it has performed two concerts a semester.
One of these concerts has been in St Andrews with other venues including the reverberant Chapel Royal at Stirling Castle and St Monans Kirk.
