Fire broke out on a loader containing straw at a farm on the outskirts of Brechin.
Two appliances from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene shortly after 8am on Saturday at Balquhadly Farm, Fern.
Units from Brechin and Forfar attended.
The fire was extinguished before their arrival and was contained to the loader situated within a farm building.
Fire fighters used a thermal imaging camera to inspect the area to check the fire had not spread before leaving the scene.
