Dundee man accused of child assaults

Dundee man accused of child assaults

A 55-year-old Dundee man accused of engaging in sexual activity with a child and assaulting three children will stand trial at the city’s sheriff court.

Stewart King, of Forres Avenue, denies four charges against him relating to alleged incidents at a property in Dundee.

He denies engaging in sexual activity with a child on various occasions between November 2013 and March 2014.

King further denies three charges of assault, all of which are said to have taken place between July 2010 and March 2014.

He denies assaulting a child on various occasions by punching the child on the head and body, kicking the child on the body and legs and throwing objects at the child, to the child’s injury.

King also denies assaulting a second child on various occasions. The charge alleges that he punched the child on the head and body, and kicked the child on the legs, all to the child’s injury.

He further denies assaulting a third child on various occasions.

It’s alleged that he seized hold of the child by clothing, lifting the child off the ground, pushing the child against a wall, punching the child on the head and body, and kicking the child on the legs.

All of this, the charge alleged, was to the child’s injury.

King’s trial is scheduled to take place on August 31 with a further hearing on August 18.
