There have been no new Covid-19 deaths recorded in Scotland in the past 24 hours, latest figures show.
Today’s update from the Scottish Government revealed there have been 26 new positive cases of coronavirus recorded since Saturday, taking the country’s total to 18,156.
A total of 231,525 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS Scotland labs and drive-through centres to date. Of these, 213,369 were confirmed negative.
The latest update also showed the country’s death toll remains at 2,472 after no deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours.
Of the people who have tested positive, 518 were in hospital last night and nine of whom were in intensive care. There are a further seven people in intensive care with suspected Cocvid-19
Since March 5, 3,976 inpatients have been discharged from hospital.
A regional breakdown of the figures show there have been 928 positive cases in Fife since the pandemic began, and 1,761 across Tayside.
There are 51 people in hospital in Fife after testing positive for the virus.
