Csaba looks to make signings after taking Dundee United squad to Aviemore for team bonding

Dundee United boss Csaba Laszlo could still add to his squad before the transfer window closes next week.

Over a summer of major change, Csaba has already brought in 13 new players but has repeatedly said he would like to keep part of his budget for near the end of the window.

He is still looking at the market and it’s understood there are a number of options he could pursue between now and the final day of business on Friday week.

At the weekend there was down time, but not free time for Csaba’s squad as they headed for the Highlands.

With no game because of they were already out of the Betfred Cup, he took most of his first-team squad north to Aviemore for a team bonding session.

This week it will be back to a normal routine as the build up to Saturday’s home clash with Partick Thistle steps up.

Meanwhile, as United continue a forensic examination of the workings on the entire club, it’s been confirmed a number of scouts have been told their services are not being retained.

A club spokesman said: “When Mike Martin became chairman earlier this year he said he would conduct a root and branch review of the whole club to improve all areas of the business.

“This review includes our academy structure and specifically the resources needed to attain elite status within Project Brave.

“The recent changes to our academy scouting network are part of this process.”

Today saw the reserves’ league season kick off when boss Craig Easton took the second string west to face St Mirren at the Simple Digital Arena.
