The man, in his 20s, was involved in a collision with a car on the northbound carriageway of the A90, near the turn-off for Stonehaven. Emergency services attended at the scene at around 7.45am, after the alarm was raised by a driver who witnessed the incident. Paramedics arrived and checked the motorcyclist over, finding he had sustained only minor injuries. He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance to be fully assessed and is understood to have sustained pelvic injuries. The accident happened on the Duffshill to Muchalls stretch, around 800 metres from the Stonehaven junction, and caused long tailbacks. Officers from Grampian Police set up a diversion and blocked both lanes of the carriageway, directing traffic away from the scene. Commuters had to travel through Netherley, before rejoining the route further north. The motorbike was removed from the scene, debris was cleared and the road reopened by 8.30am.
