‘Adult’ panto group promise Forfar audience ‘something a little bit different’

Fans of comedy and the stage in Angus have been invited to a “tongue-in-cheek” pantomime this month all in the best possible taste and for a good cause.

The group Purely Adult Production Society (PAPS) have taken the panto standard Sleeping Beauty and plan their own ribald retake in Forfar on April 5, with a cut of the proceeds going to Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance.

Co-founder Ewan Phillip said interest has been high for the show, with table service and dinner laid on at the Reid Hall.

The group’s aim was to produce a pantomime for an adult audience as their first show.

“It’s all a bit tongue in cheek and we aren’t out to offend anyone,” said Mr Phillip. “There is something for most audiences in Forfar and we think this is a first for the area.

“It will be good to do something a little bit different and make a bit of money for a good cause at the same time.”

Doors open at 7pm and close at 1am after the show and a disco.

Tickets cost £20, which includes a support act and food at the interval and table service from the licensed bar.

Attendees will be sat at tables of 10 and full tables are still available for booking, or sponsorship by local businesses.
