Busy Monifieth footpath to close for five weeks of work

The popular Dighty Den footpath in Monifieth will be closed for five weeks from Monday.

Angus Council will be carrying improvement works on the path, which is a popular walking route and heavily used by pupils attending Grange Primary School.

The footpath will be closed along almost its entire length for the duration of the works.

The sole exception will be the short stretch of path leading from Auchencairn Place to the school’s back gate.

It’s understood that concession was made following consultation with parents of pupils at the school.

The works may cause heavier than usual traffic on Grange Road as parents drop off pupils unable to take their usual walk to school.
