An Arbroath FC superfan of nearly 50 years now shares his manager Paul Sheerin’s record of visiting every league ground in Scotland.

It has been a great year for Peter Gall who celebrated seeing his team presented with the first championship in the club’s 133-year history on Saturday at Gayfield.

And this year Mr Gall achieved another milestone visiting every football ground in Scotland to see the Lichties play.

Mr Gall, first taken to Gayfield at the age of six, has been following the team home and away ever since and had travelled to every ground except Galabank.

A fortnight ago Mr Gall went to see Arbroath take on Annan Athletic and was able to tick Galabank off his list the only highlight of a 3-0 defeat. But he said he did not mind too much, with the title already having been sewn up.

“It was like I was born supporting Arbroath and I go to all of the home and away matches,” he said. “I have been to the majority of grounds in Scotland to see Arbroath but it was the newer grounds that have been built in the last five to 10 years that have taken me longer to get around.”
