Rowan Norway rig makes a big impression on return to Dundee

The Rowan Norway jack-up rig is becoming a regular visitor to Dundee having returned to the Tay following a six-month stint in the North Sea.

The platform first appeared on the skyline last year, spending five months at the docks before leaving for Bentley oil field in March.

The rig is home to 120 workers when it is deployed.

A spokeswoman for Forth Ports said: ”Rowan Norway arrived into the port on October 10 and berthed at the Prince Charles Wharf, where it will be preparing for its next contract. It will be at the port for approximately 30 days.”
